ChatDiario is a local application that allows me to explore an archive of around fifteen years of documents in a way that was not possible before. It does not simply search for keywords: I can ask a question or express a concept in natural language, and the system uses embedding-based semantic search to identify the documents and passages that are most relevant in meaning. This allows me to explore and connect a large amount of personal material in a much more natural, precise, and useful way.
