You drive on the right. Keep to the right, and overtake on the left.

At an equal junction, with no signs and no lights, traffic from the right goes first.

A sign, traffic lights, or give-way markings come ahead of that. Someone going straight on goes ahead of someone turning across them.

People on a zebra crossing go first. Give them time to cross.

The sign you are passing is the limit.

Inside a built-up area, where no sign sets a lower number, the limit is 50 km/h. Outside a built-up area, 80 km/h is common.

On a motorway, many signs show 100 km/h between 06:00 and 19:00, and a higher number at night. Some stretches show 130 km/h through the day. Read the sign.

Wear a seat belt. Keep a phone out of your hand.

Most drivers stay under 0.5 per mille of alcohol. A new licence has a limit of 0.2.
