When antipsychotic drugs help people *stop* taking antipsychotic drugs
Sometimes the best outcome is when people feel well enough to reduce their medication — which sounds paradoxical but reveals why clinical success and medication adherence aren't the same thing.
This means schizophrenia care should measure whether people *want* to stay on treatment, not just whether they comply, spotlighting social and side-effect factors that clinical trials often overlook.
